ELearning is a flexible delivery of online programs, so typically at IHSU, people are studying fully online programs for professional reasons and the courses are aligned based on professional needs and delivery is fully online, no attendance necessary at IHSU. student will have access to all the services and facilities that a traditional student will have. As an eLearning student, your program will be broken up into modules and each module is typically an eight weeks’ period of study, they would start semester one which will be late July and semester two which January. The modules and learning experience will be different depending on the subject area but typically you will actual notice through the university's virtual online learning environment, Moodle platform. that will be supplemented by peer based discussions guided by the tutor and you will also be asked to do self-directed learning: study and research. The assessments will be delivered online and will be in a typical eight-week period, some of the assessments will be individual and some will nbe group work.

Courses delivered by IHSU On-line  are offered in the following formats:

  • Print

    Print-based courses are delivered primarily via packages of printed materials that are sent out to students. These packages may include other materials such as DVDs and textbooks. In these courses students study individually at their own pace with Open Learning Faculty Member support. Some print-based courses include resources that require Internet access.

  • Web

    Web-based courses are delivered primarily via the Internet using a learning management system. They may include other materials such as DVDs and textbooks that are sent out to students. In these courses students study individually at their own pace with Open Learning Faculty Member support.

  • Online

    Online courses are delivered via the Internet using a learning management system and are based on a cohort model. These courses, which are led by an Open Learning Faculty Member, promote high levels of activity and collaboration within the cohort. Each class is paced and has a specific start and end date. Start dates are usually in September, January and May, subject to availability. Registration deadlines apply.
